Unable to reply on the other furom so I will see you at the next meeting, posted some pictures and by the way last month 3 veterans of the Eighth Air Force 306th Bombardment Group revisited Thurleigh War Memorial for a short service followed by a trip to the airfield, museum, Lancaster and B17 100 ft flyover which was amazing also surprising as close up both bombers seemed small especially the length, I tagged along with several American groups with a dozen WW2 vehicles and USAF dress which the vets liked also I was introduced to Joe Ekins followed by " this is the man that knocked out Wittmann " briefly Joe in the Firefly was hidden in the orchard along with 3 Sherman's he had a 1200 ft view and the German tanks appeared Joe fired and hit German tank 1 fired again hit German tank 1 blowing it up, he was about to fire on German tank 2 when incoming round/s glanced a Sherman turret hatch head wounding later killing a captain Sherman okay though, Joe fires at German tank 2 and blows up, the 3 Sherman's were firing from the start to end but Joe said they were no good at all no gun, Joe fired 2 more rounds at German tank 3 blowing it up, this all happened in 12 minutes and Joe was annoyed because just hours before the battle 3 other Firefly's could have joined up but these were sent north or south, had the 3 Tigers eliminated Joe's Firefly there was nothing in the rear at that time that could have stopped the Tigers and they were supported by infantry which had not kept up the pace of the Tigers, later that day in another battle Joe also knocked out and credited for a Panzer mark IV.

I know the Firefly had a good gun but 3 Tigers in 12 minutes and to top it all a further Panzer mark IV in the same day, Joe was 21 and 8 years after the war he was informed of the Wittmann kill.

What would you like to play ? and when can you play ? I would like a game of FOW using the French village I have made to iron out any design problems or make additions to, I have not played FOW only viewed so your comments would be appreciated whether negative or positive.

It could be done, what size table does the Vilage require?

I designed the system to be flexible so the table/s need to be strong, sturdy and can be of any size, the pictures shown cover half a full size snooker table so 6' x 6', as the village is already built you can have a game at my house and if you want to extend the playing area to 12' x 12' no problem I have more pieces.
